Just a quiet day

I couldn't resist playing around with this photo, I think the child came out in me!

 

Not a lot happening today, its very quiet.

I've had just PJ to walk today, along with Madge. At least the sun is out although the forecast is terrible for later on, gale winds and rain!

 

I found my good camera this morning so I've got it on charge and later I shall be taking some snaps, I need to learn how to use it again! Its not been out since my holiday last august

Aunty Pickles

Pickles is a golden retriever that you will have seen on my blog many many times.

Last week I saw her pedigree up on the wall in her house, so I had a sneaky look and recognised the name Camrose which appeared many times, infact shes at least a 5 generation Camrose.

Anyway, George our retriever is also a Camrose an it turns out that Pickles father is Georges grandfather.

Ardingly Spring Fair

Yesterday Jack and I went to the Ardingly spring fair. Much smaller than the South of England show that's held there in June, but at least the sun was shining and it was nice to get out and oor something outdoors with Jack.

Mum was there spinning alpaca wool in the spinning and craft tent.
Jack liked the rabbits and enjoyed watching the big air ambulance arrive and take off.

There was also a big dog show being held there, lots of different breeds, I think George and Madge, who came with us would have won any class they entered LOL

 

 

 

Doggy First Aid course

Yesterday I went with Donna from Dinky Dogs dog groomers to a doggy first aid course in Brighton.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Everyone taking part had their own grooming salons apart from me, I was the only dog boarder/walker.

It was a good laugh, a lot was learnt and......lots of cake was eaten!

This morning we woke up to lovely sunshine, so Jack and I sat in the garden to eat breakfast and took a nice photo of Madge by the tulips.

Jacks very clever and has given this photo of the tulips in the garden a special effect, it kind of looks like its been painted.

 

Mum has gone to the show at Ardingly today to do some spinning, so later Jack and I are going to go along to see what she's doing, check out the stalls, watch the dog show and see all the other animals. A pretty nice way to spend a sunny bank holiday Monday!

Greetings once again

Hello all, its been sometime again since I was last on the blog. A lot has happened in the last few weeks. Firstly we have moved house!
We really weren't sure if it was ever going to happen. Jack and I had to move out of our old place for 2 weeks and go and live with friends before we completed on the new house, it was worrying as we didn't know if it was all going to go ahead.
It did, and we have now been in here for 1 month!

Today I am off to Brighton to refresh on my dog first aid course so that should be fun.

All the dogs are well settled and enjoying the slightly larger garden.

Eureka!!!

Well its been a long long time since I last tried loading a photo onto here and hey presto!

Its worked, so it looks like I will be back to regular blogging.

I tested it using a photo of my holiday last summer, just to remind me there is such a thing as blue sky and sunshine!!

Still won't work!

I think its time to give up this blog for the time being as my computer simply won't allow me to post any photographs!
I will try to get it sorted at some point, maybe a new computer is needed, this one is very unpredictable, but as money doesn't grow on trees a new computer is out of the question right now!

I'm sure I will be back sometime in the future.....watch this space!

I can't add photos

Well this is a little annoying, once again the blog isn't allowing me to add pictures!

I will keep trying everyday until it does, but until then I wont write much as I always think pictures tell a thousand words and are much more interesting to look at than a load of waffle!

Damp days

Since the new year I have been inundated with bookings!

All good as every year I worry it won't be as busy as the last, but so far looking good.

This week Paddy has been here, also a new dog called Bonnie and today is her 1st birthday, and to celebrate she has a nice walk, some raw meet, mmmm and a young lab cross called Finlay here all day to play with her!

Buzz the little Pug cross was also with us earlier in the week as well as Ella, a yummy little miniture Pincher.

Bonnie and Pickles the retrievers will be coming now twice a week for the day on a regular basis as sadly their owner died just before christmas.

 

Isnt it horrible weather, mind you at least its not freezing cold. Everything is 20 times dirtier with the rain, roll on sunshine!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Well its been ages since I last blogged, this year I will try harder to get onto here more often.
I have had many new dogs come and stay in the last few months, plus loads of our regulars. Above are photos of Bonnie and Pickles at Geaorges birthday party, George is my mums retriever who's just turned 4.
Fingers crosses that in the next few weeks Jack and I will be moving house. We will have more space with a larger garden which will be great. I will keep you updated on that!

Bonnie and Pickles the gorgeous golden retrievers are back for a holiday. As always they have really been behaving themselves very well. Tilly and Truffle have been for their daily stays this week as normal, but sadly they may not be here as often now that my numbers have had to be reduced. I am hopeing to have room for them most weeks but its not always going to be possible.

On wednesday I had a lovely dog called Martha come and stay for the day as a trial. Shes a greek rescue dog and will be coming on a regular basis now.

New rules

Well what a nightmare few weeks I have had!

Worthing council renewed my licence to run The Doghouse, great news I hear you say! Well yes, but, I can now only board 3 dogs at a time!

I have some neighbours that are being a complete nightmare and are constantly calling up the council to complain, whether its about the smell of the lemon fresh disinfectant I use, the amount of dogs I have here or noise polution, its starting to get me down. Thankfully the warden and environmental officer are more than happy with the way I run things here, infact they said to me, in their words "We are very impressed with the way you run and organise this business and if all were as clean as here we would be out of a job!" So thats reasures me to know they are more than happy. My neighbours are just out to get me, they won't be happy till they get me shut down, but that will not happen!!!

This week I have staying with me Truffle, she was 2 yesterday so had a little party and Rocco and Carla the cavvies!

Time flies!

Well how time flies! Its been ages since my last post. How time flies once the school holidays start! Its all go, go, go!

Jack and I have been busy looking after and walking the dogs as always, then he went to stay with his granny and grandpa for just over a week whilst I went to Crete with my friend for a totally chill out holiday.

Once home my sister in law and my niece and nephew came to stay for a couple of nights as we all trundled up to london to meet my brother and his family on the last day of the Olympics to see the mens marathon. It was great fun, and really pleased we got the chance to go!

The dogs with me now are Tilly for her wednesday stay, Bonnie and Lucy from the vicarage in Findon and Doris the hairy basset!

All are being extremly well behaved which is lovely, it makes this job very enjoyable when they behave as well as this bunch do. We avoided the rain this morning and finally got out over lunch time and managed to stay dry before it poured down again!

Yet more problems with my new mobile, I'm unable to load any of my photos onto the laptop again so I have nothing to show you! I must call the geek squad!

Beach and Fair!

Long may this weather last, but I fear it won't, so making the most of it. Managed to get 4 of the dogs walked early this morning before it got too hot, then the rest got walked late this afternoon. I think its best to keep them out of the hot sun during the day.

Henry and Lilly came back a couple of days ago. Lilly is in love with Jack, as soon as she sees him she apears wagging her little tail wanting a cuddle.

We headed down the beach late morning. Me, Jack and Jude and met up with my mate Sarah and her kids Louis and Daisy. It was then time to head back home to the dogs where I lay on the sunbed (again) accompanied by all the dogs (again) to sunbathe.

The fair is down on the seafront this week so Jack, Jude and I went down there along with Henry, Lilly and Madge. The boys had fun going on 4 rides each then we headed to the noodle bar and macaris and sat on the beach stuffing. The dogs were not at all impressed that they didn't get to have any!

Summers finally here!

I can't get over the weather. All that rain and now nothing but wall to wall blue skys and sunshine! Thank goodness! about time too!

Sorry again for the long delay on blogging. Since last being on I got myself a new phone, one with a better camera, but it seems that it likes to save the pictures upsidedown and for some reason it has a problem saving them on the laptop when I try turning them! I did manage to put a few up the right way so finally I have some to put onto the blog.

As you can see I tried a spot of sunbathing today but it wasnt very easy with all the dogs fighting to get onto the sun bed to join me. Gorgeous little Pippen the rhodesian ridgeback puppy won!

Now that the summer holidays has begun I am very busy. I have had to turn away a lot of dogs, something I hate to do but its only safe to take so many!

It means for the next few weeks we have a full house!
